Town of Andrews Comprehensive Plan Public Comment Opportunities
The Town of Andrews has prepared its 2045 Comprehensive Plan to establish a roadmap for future land use decisions, infrastructure investments, and development policies for the next 20 years. This plan has been shaped through public input, an analysis of current community conditions, exploration of future options and priorities, and the development of practical strategies aimed at achieving the Town’s vision for the future.
A Comprehensive Plan serves as a guidance document for local regulatory changes, infrastructure improvements, and community investment. The Planning Commission is required to review the plan every 5 years and rewrite it every 10 years to account for changing conditions and priorities in the community.
Public Review and Comment Period
The draft plan is available for public review and comments through February 11, 2026. It can be accessed online at http://www.townofandrews.sc.gov or viewed in person at Town Hall, located at 101 N Morgan Avenue, Andrews, SC 29510.
Written comments may be submitted at Town Hall or emailed to Leigh Wood, Local Planning Services Director with the Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments, at LWood@wrcog.org.
Planning Commission Public Hearing
The Planning Commission will also hold a public hearing to obtain input on the draft plan prior to sending the plan to Town Council for their review and adoption.
